Burgundy House was founded by Matthew Gallagher and operates out of Richmond, working with clients across Melbourne and beyond.
With a background in accounting and finance, and while also running his own Accounting firm, Matthew takes a practical, well-rounded approach to structuring home loans — looking beyond just interest rates to make sure everything is set up properly from the start.
Rather than pushing a single lender, Matthew works across a panel that includes the major banks as well as a range of smaller lenders — often uncovering more flexible and competitive options.

Matthew Gallagher
Matthew works across both mortgage broking and accounting, which means he’s often helping clients look at the bigger picture — not just the loan itself.
Most of his work is with singles and couples, talking through decisions, answering questions, and helping things make a bit more sense — whether that’s borrowing capacity, loan structure, or what happens next.
He’s not big on overcomplicating things — just clear advice, a calm approach and being someone you can rely on throughout what can otherwise be a pretty stressful process.
Outside of work, there’s a strong appreciation for cycling, home baking and anything carb-related.

Breeana Gallagher
Breeana is a key part of the Burgundy House team — and honestly, the one who keeps everything moving.
She’s been here from the early days and is across pretty much everything that happens behind the scenes, from organising documents to keeping applications on track and making sure nothing gets missed.
If you’ve emailed or called, chances are you’ve already dealt with Bree.
She’s organised, switched on, and a big reason the process feels smooth from start to finish.
Outside of work, she’s a busy mum to Caleb, and usually either planning the next camping trip or getting stuck into a good book.
